Moving the earth to make a difference in 2025: Mid-Year Impact Report
We are proud to share the social and environmental outcomes of our work across South Australia in the first half of 2025.
As a commercial landscape construction social enterprise, our mission extends beyond building outdoor spaces. We are committed to levelling the field by delivering high quality landscape outcomes while creating real employment opportunities for people of all abilities and supporting long term ecological sustainability.
This report highlights the impact of our landscape construction projects completed between January and June 2025.
Building a Workforce That Reflects All Abilities
As one of Bedford’s open employment pathways, a focus on inclusive employment is at our core. In the first half of 2025, GreenInc employed 67 people of all abilities, providing meaningful jobs, skills training, and personal development pathways. Eight of our team members live with disability or other barriers to employment.
Our inclusive workforce contributes to every phase of our landscape construction projects, from hardscape and softscape installation to project planning and site maintenance. We are proud to offer a supportive environment where team members are valued for their contributions and encouraged to grow.
Greening Landscapes Across the State
Our work also reflects a deep commitment to environmental sustainability. Across various commercial sites, infrastructure projects, and residential developments, GreenInc has delivered significant environmental contributions through tree planting, vegetation coverage, and soil regeneration techniques.
Key highlights from January to June 2025:
Tubestock plants emerged as the most commonly used plant type during this period, thanks to their affordability, rapid establishment, and strong ecological benefits. These small but powerful plants formed the backbone of many of our re-vegetation efforts.
Benefits of the greening we have done in the last six months includes protecting ground surfaces, increasing biodiversity, enhancing visual appeal, supporting soil stability and erosion control.
Project Spotlights
Several large-scale projects drove a significant portion of this activity, each highlighting the growing demand for environmentally and socially responsible landscaping in commercial and infrastructure development.
The Southern Expressway project stood out as the most substantial contributor in terms of vegetation volume. The vegetation strategy for the Southern Expressway is focused on long term resilience, biodiversity support, and aesthetic impact for thousands of daily commuters. The project is being managed by Acciona, with Hydromulch Australia overseeing the re-vegetation of the site. GreenInc have been subcontracted by Hydromulch to manage the planting of the trees, shrubs, and ground covers. With 26,042 tubestock plants and 15,755 potted plants installed, this major infrastructure project has demonstrated both scale and ecological complexity.

Other commercial projects also played a major role in our success in the first half of 2025. The Peet Limited Tonsley Village Stage 3 and 5 and Bedford Group/SAGLE developments each recorded strong planting figures, with 2,757 and 2,755 potted plants installed respectively. These projects highlight the continuing investment in green infrastructure across various sectors.
In the residential development sector, Adore Estate and new Vista Stages showcased strong demand for immediate green space. These two sites recorded 1,651 square metres and 2,144 square metres of instant turf installation respectively. Turf is important because it plays a vital role in reducing dust, controlling erosion, and delivering a polished, usable landscape quickly, which is critical in high traffic areas and newly developed communities.
Trusted by Developers and Project Partners
This year we are proud to maintain strong, ongoing relationships with industry leaders such as Fairland, Peet Limited, Renewal SA and Lanser, some of which we started with APG, Bedford’s garden maintenance business that we grew from in 2023.
These trusted partnerships reflect the consistent quality, reliability, and positive outcomes GreenInc brings to every commercial landscaping project. Our clients know they are working with a team that not only delivers on time and to specification, but also brings real social and environmental value to the table as a social enterprise that is grounded in doing good for the community.
“Reflecting on the first half of the year, I am incredibly proud of what our team at GreenInc has accomplished. We have successfully delivered high-quality landscape projects for our clients, while strengthening our commitment to inclusive employment. By empowering people of all abilities to thrive, we continue to demonstrate that diversity, inclusion and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
Thank you to all our clients, team members, and partners who make this work possible.”
Looking Ahead
As we move into the second half of 2025, GreenInc remains focused on expanding both our impact and our partnerships. We will continue to deliver commercial landscape construction services that meet the highest standards while championing social inclusion and environmental regeneration.
Every project we undertake is a chance to grow something greater, whether it is a green corridor along a transport route, a welcoming community plaza, or a thriving habitat in a residential estate. With every square metre laid and every person employed, we continue to move the earth to build a more sustainable and inclusive future for South Australia.
