At GreenInc, diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just buzzwords - they're the foundation of our fantastic team of all abilities. This commitment to inclusivity is exemplified by team members like Laura, who brings her unique background and perspective to our organisation.
Laura, originally from Medellin, Colombia, is an industrial engineer with a project management degree and is currently pursuing a master's degree in data analytics at the University of South Australia. As an Administration Officer at GreenInc, Laura plays a crucial role in managing documentation, standardising processes, and preparing tenders and contracts for our landscape construction projects. Her engineering background allows her to streamline these processes, ensuring efficiency and organisation in our operations and delivering the best possible outcome to customers.
As a Bedford-backed social enterprise, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture. This commitment not only enhances the lives of our team members, bringing different perspectives and creating great outcomes for our customers, but also generates positive social and financial impacts that ripple through the entire community. Laura's experience at GreenInc reflects this inclusive culture, as she found an opportunity that not only builds on her engineering experience but also offers the flexibility to pursue her studies.
I have found a brilliant, inclusive work environment with a supportive leader and co-workers who are eager to help me grow professionally. I am proud to be part of an organisation with values like mine that makes such a difference in the community.”
Moving the earth to make a difference
GreenInc’s impact extends beyond our inclusive work environment. We are dedicated to creating a lasting positive impact on environments around South Australia. From commercial custom landscape construction to community recreation spaces, our team is sowing the seeds of change to build vibrant, sustainable outdoor areas. In just the past year, we have planted over 6,000 trees and completed 34 large-scale green spaces, transforming communities and enhancing the urban environment.
Laura is excited about contributing to several internal projects this year, explaining “It is important to us all at GreenInc that we make a positive environmental impact. An example of this is one of the projects I am currently working on, which is an initiative to reduce paper usage in daily operations.”
We are proud to nurture not just green spaces, but also our people and the environment. Laura's story is just one example of how we're cultivating a workplace where diverse talents and backgrounds can thrive while making a positive impact on our communities and the environment.
